These terms govern your purchase and use of the QWeb Spam Shield WordPress plugin ("the plugin"), the qwebspamshield.com website, and the hosted services the plugin connects to (licensing, updates, AI spam screening, and the federated pattern network, together "the services"), all operated by Qwebmaster ("we", "us"). By creating an account, starting a trial, or purchasing a license you agree to these terms.
1. What you are buying
A subscription gives you a license key that activates the plugin on a number of WordPress sites determined by your plan (Starter: 1 site, Pro: 5 sites, Agency: 25 sites), plus access to plugin updates, support, and the hosted services for as long as the subscription is active.
The plugin's PHP code is distributed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) to the extent required by WordPress licensing. Your license key does not restrict rights the GPL grants you; it controls access to updates, support, and the hosted services, which are separate from the code.
2. Trials and billing
- Plans are billed annually and renew automatically at the end of each term unless you cancel first.
- The free trial lasts 7 days. A payment method is collected when the trial starts and the first charge happens after the trial ends. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
- You can cancel any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; the plugin and services keep working until then.
- Prices may change. Changes never apply mid-term; you will see the new price before any renewal that uses it.
Payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal. We never see or store full card numbers. Refunds are covered by our refund policy, including a 30-day money-back guarantee.
3. Fair use of the services
AI screening is subject to the plan's usage allowances. The service is engineered to fail open: if the screening service is unreachable or slow, the plugin lets submissions through rather than blocking legitimate visitors. We may throttle or suspend service for abuse, including attempts to resell access, probe or attack the platform, or use the AI proxy for purposes other than spam classification.
4. Your responsibilities
- Keep your account credentials and license key confidential.
- Only activate the plugin on sites you own or administer.
- If you operate sites for clients, you are responsible for having the right to send their form submissions through the screening service (see our privacy policy for what is processed).
5. What we promise, and what we do not
We work to keep spam catch rates high and false positives near zero, and we publish real accuracy data on our blog. We do not promise that every spam message will be caught or that the services will be uninterrupted. The plugin and services are provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the plugin or services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages such as lost profits or lost data.
6. Termination
You can stop using the plugin and cancel at any time. We may terminate or suspend service for material breach of these terms; if we terminate without cause, we refund the unused portion of your term pro rata.
7. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will post the new version here and update the effective date. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
8. Contact and governing law
Questions about these terms: support@qwebspamshield.com or the support page. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
